Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear

I am a big fan of both John Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Although both of their shows are a bit satirical I believe that they are both very reliable news sources. In late October the two men united to hold a rally at the National Mall. The rally was called" The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear". Originally there was going to be two separate rallies held by john and Stephen but after a few episodes the two men united their rallies. Many people and the media (Glen Beck), thought that this rally was being held to counter Glen Beck's rally "Restoring Honor Rally" but John and Stephen both clearly stated that it was not. The rally's purpose was for the Americas voices who aren't heard beyond the voices of the few who control american politics. The rally had a great outcome with an estimate of about 215,000 people in attendance. Both John Stewart and Stephen Colbert have a great following in America and their supporters were there to show what they believe in. Not only did they have a great outcome in attendance but also in their charity events. Prior to the rally Stephen Colbert and John Stewart asked their viewers to contribute money to two different charities  and raised about $700,000 for both charities combined.
