Jersey Shore

Could this show be more ridiculous? Probably. Even though the show may be ridiculous and the cast members aren't the brightest people in America, the show is still a hit. According to Tvbynumber.com  Jersey Shore has an average of 1.375 million viewers. What is it that makes America continue to watch week after week? Is it the crazy personalities or the drunken adventures, or the new vocabulary words that have been created by the cast members that keep viewers interest. I can't deny enjoying the show because my girlfriend and I watched every episode in both seasons but it took me a while to realize why. Like all shows that I watch, I liked that Jersey Shore delivered a level of humor that kept me entertained but I later why I though the show was so funny.  I think many people like to have fun and occasionally enjoy a drink or two but the cast members of this show brought a whole new meaning to the word party. The crazy things they did and said while intoxicated is enough to keep many entertained but then I realized how dumb most of them are. The main reason I think that American's continue to watch this jersey crew is because of their lack of intelligence. I don't think that all people from New Jersey fall in to this stereotype but the Jersey Shore cast makes it hard to think that way. I really don't mean to rip on them because I do find this show to be quite funny and even though sometimes the things that are said or done seem a bit scripted, I think its one of MTVs best shows as of right now (the ratings agree). Jersey Shore took over a lot of America this past year and many people enjoy the wacky characters. South Park, another popular show, even did an episode about Jersey Shore and how it quickly took over America this past year.
